The Tents & Rooms
The camp offers a selection of tented rooms as well as a stone-built guest house and a romantic hill-top escape with roll-out star bed.
Each tent is locally-made and eco-friendly. All have thatched roofs, canvas interiors and private or ensuite stone-built bathroom facilities with flush toilets, sinks and hot showers.
Electricity is solar-powered. The comfortable beds are provided with continental quilts and fine-quality linen. Each tent has its own private furnished terrace.
Long Hill and Scout Hill tents: 2 large tents with ensuite bathrooms sleep two or three persons each. They are protected with grass roofs.
Central Tent has a private leleshwa enclosure and features a double and single bed and an ensuite bathroom. Immediately adjacent is another tent with its own private bathroom, which can be used to accommodate friends or children (twin beds). We can also erect a third twin tent should this be required.
The Guest House is immediately adjacent to the main reception area and is stone-built. It features a bathroom, an alfresco shower (with hot water) on its private deck, a panoramic viewing deck and a reception room (convertible into a twin bedroom) and bedroom (with double bed and door leading on to the deck).
A stone-built room with canvas fronting, this room offers the best of both worlds. It also features a panoramic deck with stunning views of the lake and a separate shower and WC. Lakeview offers one double bed and one single bed.
Perched on top of a rocky crag and reached by its own private pathway, Eagle’s Nest has been constructed from natural lava stone and fitted with a classic canvas zip-down front. It features a double bedroom, shower and WC and private panoramic terrace. It also offers a garden bathtub and the ability to roll out the bed so that guests may sleep beneath the stars.
Secluded, entirely private and utterly romantic, Eagle’s Nest makes the ideal honeymoon cottage or get-away-from-it-all retreat for two.
