Bush Dining & Sundowners

Sundowners

The ‘sundowner’ is an essential part of safari life and dates back to the time of the great safaris of the 1920’s. Timed to start as the sun begins its descent, the sundowner experience begins with an evening game drive to one of our stunningly panoramic sundowner sights where typically a campfire will be lit, chairs set up and drinks and canapés served.
Departure time: 5.45pm
Duration: 1 ½ hours

Bush breakfast or lunch

For the classic safari experience, there is nothing to beat having breakfast in the bush. We offer three locations for our bush breakfasts: at the foot of Ol Jolai hill, within viewing distance of a water hole in the shade of an old acacia tree and at the foot of the Sleeping Warrior Crater. Each location is just a short game drive from the lodge.
Departure time: Between 7.30 and 9.00 am
Duration: 1 ½ hours

Bush dinner

Our dedicated bush dinner site is scenically located close to the lodge and is reached by a lamp lit pathway. Typically we offer a three-course dinner with supporting bar services. Should you wish it, the dinner can be preceded by a game drive.
Departure time: Between 7.30 and 9.00 am (subject to weather conditions)
Duration: 1-2 hours
