One of the prettiest birds in East Africa, the lilac breasted roller may not be the most sharing.
The one on the right would love a piece of this juicy insect. But if I recall correctly, it never did!
The rollers love to perch on electric posts or a dead tree in order to spot from high up the bug that makes the wrong move. They then open their wings in a flash of light blue, to fall on the poor insect whose last moment has come.
